These bags were sold out on the evoc website, but I was able to find a used one. Be careful with the sizing, as my Ibis Ripley (L) barely fit. I had to take my derailleur off to a make it work and even then it was tight. (they say in the instructions that you don't need to take it off). Just a note, the XL version of this bag wouldn't have helped as the length is the same. I believe it is just wider to accommodate fat bike tires. But that was the only minor negative I had. Everything else about the bag is great. It's sturdy in places where it needs to be and they made it light enough for me to stay under 50 lbs which is pretty good with a big trail bike. As a result, no baggage fee of any kind with United Airlines. Just one other note, I cut up and used pool noodles for a little extra protection in several spots on the bike. It probably wasn't necessary, but it made me feel better having it on there.
My wife and I recently purchased an EVOC travel bag for our road bikes. This was our first trip traveling with our bikes to participate in "The most beautiful bikeride in America", a Charity bike event and ride around Lake Tahoe. Honestly we couldn't be happier with the bags. The both came in about 4 lbs under the 50 lb limit which included helmet, pedals, shoes, a couple rags and swim noodles around the various tubes of the bike (just for a little extra protection). They pack very snugly and rolling them through the airport was so easy. We will definitely be traveling more with our bikes. Looking forward to attempting a mountain bike trip with it as well. Thanks for engineering such a well made travel bag!
