Tailgate Pad

Six molded rubber blocks hold your bikes where you put them. TPU ski straps with rubber-tipped hooks secure the frame without scratching it. A segmented top edge conforms to your tailgate's shape. Heavy-duty aluminum cam buckles mount in seconds, no fishing straps through your tailgate gap.

• Tarpaulin outershell: Cut-resistant, water-resistant, UV-stable. Prevents accidental cuts if you graze a flat pedal or chainring when unloading.
• Anti-scratch lining: protects your truck's paint.
• Rubber retention blocks. Six molded blocks along the top edge grip your downtube and stop bikes from sliding into each other. 
• TPU ski straps. Flexible TPU bands replace velcro. The hook has a rubber bumper between the plastic and your frame, to prevent chafe marks on your downtube. Two sizes: standard for bike frames, extra-long for e-bikes.
• Segmented top padding. The top edge is split into sections that flex independently (like a mini stegosaurus), to better conform to your tailgate profile. Extra foam up front protects your fork lowers.

Which size do I need, M/L or XL?

Measure the width of your tailgate at its widest point. M/L covers tailgates up to 52 inches and fits mid-size trucks like the Tacoma, Ranger, Colorado, Frontier, and Ridgeline. XL covers up to 61.4 inches and fits full-size trucks like the F-Series, Silverado 1500 and up, Ram 1500 and up, Tundra, and Sierra 1500 and up. If your truck sits between the two, go with the measurement, not the badge.

What's the difference between the flat pad and the Curve?

The top edge. Flat is for tailgates with a straight top edge. Curve is shaped for tailgates with a pronounced curve or step in the top edge, which is most newer full-size trucks. Put a straightedge across the top of your open tailgate. If it sits flush, you want Flat. If there's a rise or a dip in the middle, you want Curve. Wrong choice and the pad still works, but it won't sit tight and the bikes will shift more than they should.

How many bikes does it hold?

Up to six. Six molded rubber blocks grip the downtube so bikes don't slide into each other on the highway. Realistically, six 800mm bars means bars are overlapping, so most people run four or five with room to load and unload without a fight.

Will it fit my e-bike?

Yes. The pad ships with standard TPU ski straps and extra-long straps for downtubes with a battery in them. Same for plus-size and fat downtubes. The straps have rubber-tipped hooks so nothing metal touches your paint or your tailgate.

Does it block my backup camera?

No. There's a fold-away flap over the camera and the tailgate lever. Flip it down for a clear sightline, flip it back when you're loading.
